Gray Named Associate Director of Graduate School
June 25, 2012
Ann Gray, a 2012 graduate of OBU Graduate School, recently was named associate director of the Graduate School. Gray assumed her responsibilities at the university in May.
Gray earned a master's of business administration degree with an emphasis in international business in March. She earned a bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in business communications from the University of Central Oklahoma in December 2007.
"Ann brings a great combination of competence and character," said Dr. Scott Harris, director of the Graduate School. "She has a proven track record of success in her career in the banking industry, and she has demonstrated honesty and commitment to those with whom she works. We believe we will see great things happen through her efforts here."
Gray previously worked as a branch manager for City National Bank and Trust, where she was responsible for managing staff and implementing marketing and advertising strategies. At the Graduate School, Gray will focus on marketing and recruiting. She also will help maintain the online and social media presence of the Graduate School.
"Ann's experience as one of our MBA graduates will help her address the needs and questions of potential students considering OBU," Harris said. "That is an obvious plus."
In addition to her role at the bank, Gray has served as board member and financial advisor for Poverty Alleviation Network Inc. since 2004. She previously served as a financial advisor and analyst for Mahogany Concepts Inc. She has earned several performance awards, including Regional Branch Manager of the Year. Her education has included international business studies in Germany, Switzerland and France.
The OBU Graduate School offers a master's in business administration (MBA) degree and a master's in nursing education (MSN) degree, with new energy management (MBA) and global nursing (MSN) tracks to begin in August 2012. The Graduate School, which has been located in downtown Oklahoma City since 2007, recently relocated to a larger campus at the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma building, located at 3800 N. May Avenue.
