Chambers Advances in Jamaican Trials

Oklahoma Baptist senior Verone Chambers advanced to the semifinals of the Jamaican Olympic Trials' 400 meters Thursday, while two other former Lady Bison also competed.
Chambers finished fifth in her heat and owns the 16th and final slot to advance to the semifinals. She ran a 53.54. She will likely need to trim that to the low 53s or better to reach the finals. The semifinals are set for Saturday evening.

OBU junior Jura Levy will compete in the 100 meters on Friday and the 200 meters on Saturday.
Former Lady Bison Nickeisha Wilson placed third in her heat and fifth overall in the semifinals of the 400 meter hurdles at 56.95, while Nikita Tracey placed 12th overall at 59.56 and missed the cut for the finals. Another former Lady Bison, Latoya Greaves, will run against Wilson in the 100 hurdles on Sunday.
One other former Bison, Michael Rodgers, is expected to represent Team USA in the 4x100 relay.
