Gordon to Present Junior Recital April 5

Tabitha Gordon, an OBU music education major from Fort Worth, Texas, will present her junior recital on saxophone Thursday, April 5, at 7 p.m. The community is invited to attend the program in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium.
Gordon will be assisted in the recital by Sandra Meyer, retired associate professor of music at OBU, on piano and by Morganne Garcia, a sophomore from Rogers, Ark., on trumpet. Gordon is from the studio of Brandon Brady.
The program will include Gordon presenting pieces by Maurice, Noda and Veldhuis, and Garcia presenting pieces by Purcell, Haydn and Tull.
Gordon is the daughter of Greg and Teddy Wasik and the wife of Stephen Gordon. During her time at OBU, she has been named to the President's Honor Roll, and she received the RIO Musicianship Award and Theory Award.
She is a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Association for Music Education (NAFME) and Phi Eta Sigma. She serves as the vice president of the Symphonic Winds band and NAFME. She was selected as a participant in the esteemed Concerto-Aria Concert in 2012.
The audience is invited to a reception in Raley Chapel room 142 immediately following the recital.
