Bella Martha' to Show Feb. 28 in Foreign Film Festival
February 21, 2011
"Bella Martha" (Mostly Martha), a German movie which served as the basis for the American film "No Reservations," will be the next foreign-language film presented during the OBU Spring 2011 Foreign Film Festival.
The community is invited to attend the showing, which will be Monday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. The films are shown in the Mabee Learning Center's A/V Auditorium on the lower level of the library.
"Watching a movie in another language is a fun way to improve vocabulary and to develop an ear for the language," said Dr. David Nagle, assistant professor of German at OBU.
Other foreign films in the spring festival include:
"El secreto de sus ojos" (Spanish) -- March 22
"Machuca" (Spanish) -- April 7
"Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cleopatra" (French) -- April 19
The film festival is presented by OBU's Department of Modern Languages, German Club, French Club and Alpha Mu Gamma. For more information about OBU's Division of Language and Literature, click here.
