Brock Joins OBU as Director of Development

OBU alum Bridget Brock has joined the university advancement team as director of development for Tulsa, Okla., and Bartlesville, Okla., with additional responsibilities in Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.
"As an alumna, Bridget brings a working knowledge of Oklahoma Baptist University's mission and values that will add to our already strong development team," said Will Smallwood, vice president for university advancement. "In addition to her incredible work ethic, I am confident that our friends, donors and alumni will come to appreciate her energetic passion for the Kingdom work of OBU."
Brock earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics secondary education from OBU in 1999. She earned a master's degree in school counseling from Oklahoma State University. She was a mathematics teacher and sports coach at schools in Cheyenne Wells, Colo.; Fountain, Colo.; and Sperry, Okla. She served as connections minister and youth minister at The Heart Church in Tulsa, Okla., from 2004-07.
She has served as an adjunct professor of mathematics at Tulsa Community College since 2004 and as a counselor at Kendall-Whittier Elementary in Tulsa since 2006. She was a therapist at Brookhaven Specialty Hospital in Tulsa from 2006-10.
Brock has served as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes coach, a YoungLife sponsor, a women's Bible study leader and as a mentor for young girls.
