Centennial Harvest Court Honors Outstanding Seniors

OBU will honor outstanding seniors at the annual Harvest Court ceremony Saturday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Potter auditorium as a part of OBU's Homecoming and Centennial celebrations.

Senior students were nominated by their peers in six different categories: harvest king, harvest queen, best all-around man, best all-around woman, most servant-like man and most servant-like woman. The student body will vote on the finalists, and the winners will be announced during the Harvest Court ceremony.



The senior Harvest Court nominees include (from left to right): Front Row: Rachel Griffith, Bethany Slagle, Sara Wilson, Joanna Firebaugh, Jennie Warren, Kaitlyn Rothaus, Heather Hughes and Courtney Tice. Harvest Court finalists include:

Harvest King: James Gonzales, a religion major from Katy, Texas; J.J. Hamon, a chemistry major from Bend, Ore.; and Scott Risinger, an English major from Oklahoma City.

Harvest Queen: Jenna Butner, a biology major from Seminole, Okla.; Jennie Warren, an occupational therapy major from Shawnee, Okla.; and Sara Wilson, a double major in history and English from Bethany, Okla.

Best All-Around Man: Taylor Dickinson, a nursing major from Enid, Okla.; Elliott Freeman, an anthropology major from Paola, Kan.; and Parker Jackson, a double major in religion and philosophy from Ozark, Mo.

Best All-Around Woman: Rachel Griffith, a biology major from Parker, Colo.; Kaitlyn Rothaus, an English major from Bethany; and Courtney Tice, a vocal music education major from Oologah, Okla.

Most Servant-Like Man: Tyler Geohagan, a Bible major from Duncan, Okla.; Daniel Jordan, an anthropology major from Belle Vista, Ark.; and Derek Royer, a biochemistry major from Bartlesville, Okla.

Most Servant-Like Woman: Joanna Firebaugh, a double major in elementary education and early childhood education from Gahanna, Ohio; Heather Hughes, an applied communications major from Oklahoma City; and Bethany Slagle, a nursing major from Haskell, Okla.
