Wellness Center to Host Fair, Blood Drive Sept. 24
September 15, 2009
Oklahoma Baptist University's Recreation and Wellness Center will host its first annual Wellness Fair on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Wellness Fair is free and the public is invited to attend.
The event will include giveaways, door prizes and a wide range of informational materials on topics including nutrition, exercise, health, wellness and safety.
"The OBU Recreation and Wellness Center Fair is a great place to come and learn new healthy habits, and to learn about certain vendors in the Shawnee area that can help assist us in our wellness walk," said Kerri Foster, assistant director of OBU's wellness center.
Along with the Sept. 24 fair, the OBU School of Nursing and the Recreation and Wellness Center will host a blood drive through the Oklahoma Blood Institute that afternoon from 12-5 p.m. The blood drive will be conducted in two locations: at the Geiger Center and outside the Recreation and Wellness Center.
