Super Enrollment to Welcome New Bison
April 24, 2009
Nearly 200 future Bison are expected to attend Oklahoma Baptist University's "Super Enrollment Day," Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on campus. Invitations to the event were extended to students who have been admitted to OBU and who wish to enroll in classes.
While a reservation to the event is preferred, any admitted student wishing to enroll is invited to attend, said Trent Argo, OBU's dean of enrollment management. Students must pay their $125 enrollment guarantee to register for classes.
Following registration, lunch is available for new students and their parents at 11:30 a.m. OBU President David W. Whitlock will join staff and current students in welcoming the future Bison. Small group sessions will be available to give students information about living and learning at OBU.
Participants also will get an opportunity to see residence halls and visit with resident assistants for each dormitory and apartment unit. Dr. Brian Camp, OBU professor of family science, will lead a session for parents about transition onto Bison Hill. Monica Mullins, director of OBU's student success center, will talk about what it takes to be successful at OBU.
The next OBU enrollment days on Bison Hill will be Friday, May 29, and Friday, June 12. For more information, call OBU Admissions at 878-2033 or e-mail admissions@okbu.edu.
