Overturf to Perform Senior Vocal Recital

Kathryne (Katie) Overturf, an Oklahoma Baptist University senior voice major, will present her senior recital Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in Yarborough Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.
The Fort Smith, Ark., native is the daughter of Dr. Ken and Betty Overturf. She is from the studio of Norma Partridge, OBU associate professor of music.
The recital will feature musical selections by Gluck, Bach, Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, De Falla, Rossini and Hoiby.
During her time on Bison Hill, Overturf has been named a two-time Concerto Aria Concert performer. She received the Warren M. Angell scholarship and the Senior Vocal Achievement Award. She also has been named to the president's and dean's honor rolls.
Overturf is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and Bisonettes. She has served on the Distinguished Speakers Committee, University Concert Series and as a resident assistant. She has performed in Shawnee Little Theatre's productions of "Singin' in the Rain" and "Jekyll and Hyde."
The audience is invited to a reception following the recital.
