Oklahoma Baptist University studio art major Morgan Zabriski said she uses her artwork to find clarity in life, as showcased in her senior art show April 4-15 in the campus Art Division Gallery. Zabriski used various sources for the inspiration in her show including her experience studying abroad in Florence, Italy.
"My series of paintings from photographs taken while in Italy, along with my large mosaic, will be central pieces in my show," said Zabriski, a 21-year-old student from Plano, Texas.
Zabriski's show pieces use a number of mediums including glass, fibers, clay, paint, charcoals and pastels. OBU hosts a series of senior art shows throughout the spring semester on Bison Hill depicting each artist's favorite pieces in accordance with their chosen theme.
Following graduation in May, Zabriski plans to use her studio art degree to work with fine art, and she is considering pursuing an art education degree in graduate school.
