OBU Theatre Presents ‘The Real Inspector Hound’

November 6, 2008

The play-within-a-play takes place at Muldoon Manor, the home of Lady Cynthia Muldoon. During an evening of playing cards, Lady Muldoon and her party are joined by madman Simon Gascoyne and Inspector Hound, who arrives to investigate a murder, though no murder has yet taken place. The play takes a comedic look at the investigation and the mysterious characters who become involved.

"One thing that is unique to this production is that the audience will be sitting on stage with the actors, so expect a lot of audience involvement," said James Criswell, the production's director. "This play is a satire of the murder mystery genre using over-the-top characters you might find in classic comedies like the Carol Burnett show, Saturday Night Live, or MadTV."

College Players is a campus organization open to theater and non-theater majors and focuses on promoting creativity, performance and originality. College Players annually produces two Evening of Entertainment productions which range from variety shows to full-length plays.
