OBU Track Adds Tecumseh’s Wilson
June 5, 2008
Tecumseh High School standout Clint Wilson signed to continue his athletic career with Oklahoma Baptist University's track team Thursday.
Wilson, the son of Russell Wilson and Laneta Scott, will run the 400, 800 and relays for the Bison. He was the THS Outstanding Male Athlete and a two-time regional track champion and four-time State qualifier. He holds school records in the 400, mile relay, two-mile relay and 400 relay.
In addition to his track accomplishments, Wilson was Countywide Player of the Year in Basketball and his team's MVP. He was twice named to the Pott County All-Tournament Team and was a two-time THS Receiver of the Year in football.
Oklahoma Baptist, a powerhouse program in NAIA Track, finished third nationally outdoors and missed the 2008 indoor title by less than a point. The Bison won the 2007 Outdoor Track and Field national title.
