OBU Adds Panhandle’s Moore
June 11, 2008
Panhandle High School's Ben Moore has signed to run with Oklahoma Baptist University for the 2008-09 season.
Moore, the son of Suzy Moore and the late Terry Moore, is a distance and cross country runner. He was Texas 2A runner-up in the 3200 meters and was a three-time regional and two-time state qualifier in cross country.
In track, he was a four-time qualifier at the regional level and a one-time qualifier for State.
Moore said he selected OBU because "it is a small Christian school that is no too far from home. It has great cross country and track teams."
At OBU, Moore will be coached by two Coaches of the Year. Ford Mastin has numerous Coach of the Year honors at the conference, region and national levels for track and cross country, while assistant coach Zach Johnson has earned multiple Region Coach of the Year honors in cross country for the Bison.
