OBU Adds Gonzaga to Roster

Oklahoma Baptist University has added 6-7 forward Cicero Gonzaga to the 2008-09 basketball roster.

A native of Santa Lucia, Brazil, Gonzaga comes to Bison Hill from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.

The Norsemen were 27-9 with Gonzaga under the guidance of coach Dustin Grover, winning the Region II championship and qualifying for the national tournament.

As a sophomore, Gonzaga averaged 12 points and seven rebounds, while shooting 39.7 percent from three-point range. Gonzaga, who chose OBU over offers from other schools including Azusa Pacific, averaged 10 points and four rebounds as a freshman.

He was All-Conference both years.
