Bison Add Brumfield

Nate Brumfield, a 6-5 forward from Hutchinson Community College, has signed to play basketball for Oklahoma Baptist University.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Brumfield graduated from East Rochester High School, a very successful prep basketball program. In high school, he averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds per game.

At HCC, Brumfield averaged 17.4 points, seven rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He was a first-team All-Jayhawk and All-Region 6 selections and is ranked as the No. 47 junior college player in the nation by jucojunction.com. He was a preseason NJCAA All-America honorable mention.

As a freshman, he was Conference Freshman of the Year and a second-team All-conference pick.
