Clark Signs With OBU

Caleb Clark has signed to run track and cross country at Oklahoma Baptist University, beginning in 2008-09.

Clark ran track for Dewey High School and cross country from Bartlesville High.

The son of Keith and Dela Clark, Caleb has excelled at both track and cross country. He is expected to compete in the 1600, 3200 and 10k for the OBU track squad.

Clark was Class 5A All-State and two-year All-Star in cross country. He won the regional 3200 and 1600 meters and was fourth in the 3200 at the state meet. He was MVP and captain of the BHS cross country team.

He also excelled in the classroom as a National Honor Student and Dewey High School Student of the Year in 2006-07.

He will become a member of an OBU track team that won the national championship last season.

"After seeing the University and its Christian atmosphere, and talking to Coach Mastin and Coach Johnson, I knew that is where God wanted me," said Clark.
