Lady Bison Claim 11th Win

Oklahoma Baptist University's Dilenny Castillo scored 33 points and had 11 rebounds and three steals to lead the sixth-ranked Lady Bison to a 57-46 win at Park University Monday afternoon.

The win ended the pre-Christmas portion of the OBU schedule with the Lady Bison as a solid 11-0.

No other player but Castillo from either team reached double figures in scoring.

Keely Tolin hit three-of-three free throws at the 15:03 mark to give the Lady Bison a 10-8 lead and Park never led again. The Pirates erased an eight-point lead on a Sarah Hopkins three-pointer at the 8:29 mark, but couldn't pull ahead of the OBU women.

The Lady Bison led 29-25 at halftime.

Park never cut into that lead in the second half and the OBU advantage peaked at 54-38 on a pair of Castillo free throws with 5:05 to play. Castillo was 7-for-7 at the free throw line.

Lena Brenning, who is fourth in the NAIA in blocked shots at 2.8 coming in, had three more swats Monday to complete the two-game trip with 11.

OBU held the Pirates to 25.4 percent shooting for the game (16-63).

OBU will resume its schedule Dec. 29 at Texas Wesleyan in a 5:30 p.m. contest.
