Bison Earn Scholar Team Status

Oklahoma Baptist University's Bison cross country team not only captured a fourth place finish in the course Saturday in the national meet, they were also honored as an NAIA Scholar Team.
The team grade point average of 3.25 ranked ninth in the nation, using the GPAs of Daniel Ellis, Michael Elizondo, Theron Stoltsfus, Landon Willets and Jake Wright.
Ellis, a Bible major, and Stotlzfus, an accounting major, were also named NAIA All-America Scholar Athletes.
Additionally, two Lady Bison were named NAIA All-America Scholar Athletes. Bekah Brock, a special education major, and Kyta Willets, a mathematics major, won the award. The NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete award requires a cumulative 3.5 grade point average and junior or senior academic status.
