OLATHE, Kan. - The 47th Annual NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship host Embry-Riddle University and Stretch Internet have formed a partnership to stream all 19 matches live with play-by-play and color commentary announcers on a pay-per-view basis.
Fans may purchase the right to watch matches individually at $9.95 per match or purchase a tournament pass for $24.95 to watch all 19 games. To view matches you will need to download a free Quicktime Player.
Matches will be streamed live with play-by-play provided by the voice of Nova Southeastern (Fla.) men's soccer and sports information coordinator Eddie Kenny and color commentary by Nova Southeastern men's soccer head coach Giuseppe DePalo.
Kenny has a wealth of soccer background including a one-year stint with the Miami Fusion F.C. of Major League Soccer.
DePalo, in his seventh season with the Knights, ranks among the top 25 active NCAA Division II head coaches in winning percentage. Nova Southeastern is consistently ranked among the top 25 in DII and finished the 2004 season ranked ninth in the nation.
DePalo has a vast knowledge of the NAIA having coached at Nova when they were members of the Association and advanced to the NAIA National tournament twice with the Knights in 1999 and 2000. He is also no stranger to Embry-Riddle having served as an assistant coach in 1997 and 1998 helping the Eagles capture the 1998 Florida Sun Conference Championship, en route to advancing to the NAIA Southeast Regional final.
Born and raised in Milan, Italy, DePalo attended perennial NCAA DII soccer power Franklin Pierce (N.H.) and helped lead the Ravens to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances in 1993 and 1994. After graduation from Franklin Pierce in 1995, he signed with the Connecticut Wolves of the USL and also played professionally for the Canton Invaders and Tampa Bay Terror in the NPSL, as well as the Albany Alleycats and New Hampshire Phantoms of the USL.
