Lady Bison Fall in SAC Championship

The third time was anything but charming for Oklahoma Baptist University's Lady Bison soccer team.
Playing in their third shootout in as many Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament games, the Lady Bison came up on the down side against Oklahoma City in the conference championship bout.
Megan Griffin stopped all three OBU shoot out tries by Autumn Oury, Kara McGrenera and Carissa Watson while the Stars were perfect in three attempts to gain the title.
The second-year OBU program was winless through seven Sooner Athletic Conference contests last season and lost its first two SAC games this year.
It was OBU's second game against the Stars at OCU this season. The first ended the Lady Bison's skid against the SAC.
OBU's first two tournament games ended after shoot-outs with Northwestern and John Brown.
Lauren Aldred scored on a penalty kick in the first half for the only goal of the first half.
The Stars scored a rebound goal in the 64th minute to knot the score at 1-1. Neither team scored for the remainder of regulation time, though OCU dominated possession for much of the second half.
Both team advance to next week's Region VI Tournament, which will be hosted by the Lady Bison on Tuesday and Wednesday. John Brown and the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament champion will round out the four-team field.
