OBU Teams in Preseason Top 25

Oklahoma Baptist University's basketball teams will start the 2005-06 season in the NAIA Top 25 after both finished out of the rankings last season.
The Bison, coming off a 24-11 season in 2005, are ranked 22nd and are one of six teams in the preseason Top 25 that were not in the final regular season poll. The Lady Bison, at No. 25, are the third of three teams to jump into the preseason ranking.
Top 25 opponents on the Bison schedule include two games with No. 3 Oklahoma Christian, two games with No. 8 John Brown, two games with No. 13 Oklahoma City, and one with No. 25 Lyon College. Sooner Athletic Conference members Wayland Baptist and Northwestern Oklahoma State received votes in the poll.
The Lady Bison have two games with No. 3 Oklahoma Christian, No. 7 Oklahoma City, No. 9 Southern Nazarene, No. 19 John Brown and No. 20 Columbia and one with No. 4 Union. The OBU ladies also have two games each with Lubbock Christian and Texas Wesleyan, both of whom received votes in the preseason poll.
Vanguard is ranked atop the women's poll with Azusa Pacific ranked No. 1 in the men's poll.
