Dinner With Dean Angell

Dr. Warren M. Angell, former dean of Okahoma Baptist University's Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts, will be honored with a tribute banquet at 7 p.m., Oct. 21, at Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Alumni and friends are invited to celebrate a "Prelude to 100" as Dr. Angell nears his 100th birthday, May 13, 2007. The event follows Angell's induction into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame on Oct. 18.
The banquet will feature special recognition of Angell's hall of fame induction and his OBU legacy. Music will be performed by Mara Hunter Rice and the "Land Run" barbershop quartet. Angell also will entertain with piano selections.
A video tribute, narrated by John Parrish, will be shown during the program. An update on the Warren Angell Tribute Scholarship and an announcement of Angell's 100th birthday celebration are on the evening's agenda. Those who attend also will be offered an official release of the CD version of "Angell Originals."
