OBU Splits with Oklahoma Christian

Oklahoma Baptist University's soccer teams came away with a split in the first Sooner Athletic Conference doubleheader of the season.
The Lady Bison saw their seven-game win streak come to an end with a 2-0 loss before the Bison rallied to a 3-1 victory.
The OBU women, winless in seven SAC contests last season, were in search of the program's first-ever conference victory, but were undone by the scrappy Lady Eagles.
Kristin Brown scored on a penalty kick after being tripped up on a drive to the goal in the 38th minute.
Brown scored the games only other goal in the 68th minute with a feed from Megan Childers.
OBU had scored at least two goals in every game this season, but fell to 7-1-1 as OC keeper Lisa Jorgensen recorded five saves for the shutout.
In the men's game, Brady Nikkel gave Oklahoma Christian a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute with an assist by Robby Riggs.
The Bison tied the score with 6:38 left in the half when Fabio Pires and Taizo Kasuya set up Aduato Oliveira on the first of his two goals.
Marcos Silva blasted a goal past Jason Miller, taking an assist from Rafael Heck in the 65th minute.
Silva set Oliviera up for the final goal with 50 seconds to play.
Joao Acedo had four saves for the Bison, who out-shot the Eagles 22-11.
The Bison and Lady Bison return to SAC action Tuesday at USAO.
