OBU Sweeps Region Foe

Oklahoma Baptist University took a pair of contests from Region VI foe College of the Southwest (N.M.) Friday in a 2-1 women's game after a 5-2 men's victory.
The Lady Bison improved to 4-0-1 with the win.
Autumn Oury came up huge for OBU with a goal in the 14th minute, scoring on her own corner kick.
In the 24th minute, Oury fed Kara McGrenera, who headed the ball into goal for a 2-0 lead.
Sarah Lapchak scored with an assist from Amanda Lozano in the 83rd minute to cut OBU's lead to 2-1, but the Mustangs could not burn Lady Bison keeper Maira Negri a second time in a couple of attempts in the closing minutes.
The Lady Bison out-shot CSW 19-13.
The Southwest men scored first, taking the 1-0 lead in the second minute with a goal from Mariano Sapien with an assist from Shane Ogilvie.
But OBU would score the next three goals with two coming from Fabio Pires.
Pires scored off an assist from Elcio Frietas in the 14th minute to tie the score.
Pablo Campos then delivered the lead to OBU with help from Marcos Silva and Adauto Oliveira. Pires scored in the 19th minute for a 3-1 lead with a double assist from Campos and Rafael Heck.
Sapien brought the Mustangs back within a goal with 27 minutes left in the first half, scoring on a penalty kick.
The Bison played the last 72 minutes short-handed but outscored Southwest 2-0 in that span with two second half goals.
Campos scored with assists from Silva and Pires in the 57th minute and Eduardo Acedo scored off a feed from Taizo Kasuya in the 87th minute for the final margin.
Now 6-1-1 on the season, the 13th-ranked Bison will host No. 4 Azusa Pacific today (Saturday) at 1 p.m. APU is 5-1 after a loss on Friday at Southern Nazarene University.
