OBU 10th Best in NAIA Athletics

Using a national track and field championship and its best women's golf season in history, Oklahoma Baptist placed 10th in the NAIA Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings, which measure the success of the overall athletic programs of the NAIA.
OBU finished with 513 points with 100 points from the women's indoor track team, which brought home the first OBU national team championship since 1990. The men's indoor track team scored 83 points for their third place finish. The women's golf team finished seventh for 72 points.
OBU also scored in men's and women's basketball, men's golf, men's and women's cross country, men's soccer and baseball.
Azusa Pacific was the runaway winner, earning their first title with 881 points despite scoring in just two spring sports.
Lindenwood was second at 699, followed by Simon Fraser, Point Loma Nazarene, Mary, Lindsey Wilson, Oklahoma City, Berry, Concordia (Neb.) and OBU.
Other Sooner Athletic Conference teams in the top 100 were Oklahoma Christian (41st), Southern Nazarene (45th), Wayland Baptist (81st), Lubbock Christian (86th) and John Brown (90th).
