Bison Sign Kortney Smith

Point guard Kortney Smith has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Oklahoma Baptist University, men's coach Doug Tolin announced recently.

Smith, a 6-0 transfer from Grayson County College, averaged 9.7 points and four assists and shot 82 percent from the free throw line and 37 percent from three-point range last season.

He was an All-State selection at Lancaster (Texas) High School.

"Kortney is an outstanding point guard and an outstanding person and leader," Tolin said. "He played in a great high school program."

Smith, who will be a junior, is a science education major.
