OBU Golfers to Launch at Nationals Tuesday

Oklahoma Baptist University's first appearance at the NAIA women's golf national championships will get under way Tuesday at 1 p.m. when Amber McMurry of OBU, May Lynn Chu of Concordia (Ore.) and Andrea Ferriell of Wash (Ohio) launch their threesome.
OBU, ranked sixth in the final NAIA poll, will send all five of its golfers with counterparts from 14th-ranked Concordia and Region IX champion Walsh.
The 11th annual Women's Golf National Championships is a 72-round tournament that concludes Friday at the Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind.
Ellen Zaske tees off at 1:10 p.m., followed by Michelle Hunter at 1:20, Jennifer Mann at 1:30 and Maggie Cole at 1:40.
The Lady Bison will launch with their same threesomes Wednesday in the same order, beginning at 8:50 a.m.
The other teams in the field include unanimous No. 1 Oklahoma City, Berry, Bethel, British Columbia, Cal State-San Marcos, Dakota Wesleyan, Dickinson State, Embry-Riddle, Lewis-Clark State, Lindsey Wilson, Mobile, Northwood (Fla.), Northwood (Texas), Rocky Mountain, Savannah College of Art and Design, Shorter, Southern Nazarene, St. Ambrose and William Woods.
