Track Sweeps OBU Senior Awards
A pair of track and field athletes were named Oklahoma Baptist University's Outstanding Male and Female Senior Athletes in May.
Pat Brown and Keyonna Hornbuckle won the honor, annually presented by the Bison Athletic Association and the OBU Athletic Department.
Brown, the national champion in the 2004 indoor track 55 meter hurdles, is a 16-time track All-American, running hurdle and relay events. In addition to his national championship, Brown was the NAIA National Champion in the 55 hurdles and runner-up in the 400 IH and 110 High Hurdles as a junior. He was runner-up in the 400 IH and the 4x100 relay as a sophomore, and was runner up in the 400 IH as a freshman. This indoor season, was wan an All-American in the 4x400 and 55 hurdles. He is married to Annmarie Brown and is the son of Mark and Kezia Nash of Lawton.
An 11-time All-American, Hornbuckle was a member of 2005 National Championship Indoor team, while claiming her second and third NAIA event titles. Hornbuckle was a member of the 2005 indoor national champion 4x400 relay team and she won the 600 meters as well. She also was a member of the 2003 National Champion mile relay team. Hornbuckle was runner-up in the NAIA 600 meters in 2004. A native of Tonkawa, Hornbuckle is the daughter of Randy Flores and Everette Hornbuckle.
