Terrell Pitches Bison Past SGU, 3-1

Oklahoma Baptist used a gem from Brent Terrell in gaining a 3-1 win over St. Gregory's on Thursday, improving to 40-18 overall and 16-10 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Terrell (9-2) went eight innings, allowing one hit with five strike outs before giving way to closer Tabor Woolard, who converted his third save in as many chances with an inning of hitless relief.
The Cavaliers scored an unearned run in the fourth on three OBU errors.
The Bison scored twice in the sixth on an error and an RBI double by Eric Curry.
Curry doubled home another run in the eighth for the final margin.
The win brings OBU even in the win column with Lubbock Christian with LCU scheduled to play Wayland Baptist in the first of a four-game series Thursday night.
Josh Dewberry held OBU to six hits with two each from Curry and Adam Dalby.
The teams meet again at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Gregory's.
