Bison Split with Bacone

Two unearned runs in the first game cost Oklahoma Baptist a possible season sweep of Bacone, but OBU rebounded for a second game victory Tuesday.
Bacone won the opener 4-2 and the Bison took the second game 6-1.
After falling behind 1-0 in the second, Bacone sprung for two runs, one unearned, in the third for a 3-0 lead.
The Bison got an RBI fielders choice by Frankie Ibarra in the third and Ibarra doubled home Aaron Dickson in the fifth to make it 3-2.
Bacone added a second unearned run in the top of the seventh for the final margin.
Dickson and Kip Keith had two hits each for the Bison.
Ryan Murphy picked up the win for Bacone with Brent Roberts dipping to 2-3 on the season. Wes Moreland pitched four innings without an earned run for the Bison.
Jason Stark (2-0) got his second start, his second complete game and his second win in the nightcap, scattering five Warrior hits.
Bacone took a 1-0 lead when Darryl Cormier capped a two-out rally with an RBI single.
The Bison scored three times in the third on a two-run single by Ibarra, who scored on an error later in the inning.
OBU scored on another Bacone error in the fourth and added two runs in the sixth on a squeeze bunt by Dickson and an RBI walk by Felix Peguero.
The Bison, now 31-15, will play four games at Lubbock Christian Friday and Saturday as they return to Sooner Athletic Conference action.
