Bison Open Postseason Thursday Against John Brown

Oklahoma Baptist University will cap the first day of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament Thursday with an 8 p.m. contest against John Brown University.

The Golden Eagles are the third seed of the tournament and the hottest team coming into the postseason with five consecutive wins.

John Brown won both games of the regular season against the Bison. OBU must win the SAC Tournament or reach the finals with regular season champion Oklahoma Christian to prolong the season. The SAC gets two automatic qualifiers to the National Tournament in Kansas City - one going to the regular season champion and the other to the winner of the SAC Tournament. If the regular season champion and the tournament champion are the same team, the tournament runner-up gets the automatic berth.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. OBU students can get a $1 discount card from the Bison Athletic Association at the Jent Alumni Center.
