OBU Women Tripped Up by OC

Katie Farris hit two clutch free throw with three seconds left to seal the
win for Oklahoma Christian as the Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Bison 60-56
Saturday night in the Noble Complex.
OBU fell behind by 15 early in the second half, but made a couple of runs to cut the lead down to two at 58-56 with 1:17 left, but OC held on for the four point win.
OBU had a chance to tie the game up with 10 seconds left, but Eaton lost
control and turned the ball over.
The Lady Eagles got a game high 14 points from Farris while four other OC players were in double figures. Lauren Decker scored 13 points, Carlissa Plowden scored 11 points while Rachel Martin and Tasha Turney both scored 10.
Priscilla Alves and Kelli Welborn matched Farris' game high scoring 14 points each. Tabetha Eaton was the only other Bison in double figures with 12.
OBU led for the majority of the first half and held a seven-point lead at 11-4 early in the half.
The Lady Eagles took their first lead 14 minutes into the game when Martin hit a three to put OC up 22-21. Martin's three came in the midst of a 9-0 run to put OC up 28-21.
The Lady Eagles held a 34-28 lead at the half.
In the second half OBU pulled within five at 34-29 before OC went on an 11-1 run to take a 45-30 lead with 14:55 left. OBU answered back with a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 10 at 45-35.
After Turney put OC up 47-35 OBU went on a 9-0 run to cut the lead down to 47-44 in favor of OC. In that run Welborn got bookend threes with Eaton hitting the other three. With 1:40 left, after being down by seven, the Lady Bison went on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to two at 58-56, but that was as close as OBU came.
OBU ends the regular season with an 11-7 Sooner Athletic Conference record and a 23-7 overall record. The Bison finish in fourth place in the SAC and will play Lubbock Christian in the first round of the conference tournament Friday at p.m. in the Noble Complex.
