OBU Women Bounce Northwestern in Alva

ALVA - Oklahoma Baptist University's Lady Bison basketball team moved into fourth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference with a 62-32 win at cellar-dwelling Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
OBU had a 31-23 halftime advantage and then slammed the door on the Rangers in the second half, outscoring the hosts 31-9 in the final 20 minutes.
OBU held the Rangers to 18 percent shooting in the second half and forced 10 turnovers in each half. The Lady Bison had only six second-half miscues and outscored NWOSU 13-0 in second half point off turnovers.
Shannon Plumb led OBU with 16 points, while Rachel Heins had 14 points and a dozen rebounds from off the bench.
OBU out-rebounded the Rangers 41-30.
The victory, coupled with Lubbock Christian's loss to Southern Nazarene, pushed OBU a half game ahead of the Lady Chaps in the standings.
OBU, 9-5 in the SAC and 21-5 for the season, will play at USAO Saturday. The Drovers are coming off an 86-59 loss at St. Gregory's and could be eliminated if the Lady Bison get the victory Saturday.
OBU is now 4-0 in Percefull Field House under Coach John McCullough.
