Lady Bison upset No. 12 Lady Eagles

It took two overtimes to pull it off but the Lady Bison walked out of the Eagles Nest Thursday night with a their first over at Oklahoma Christian since 1999.
Shannon Plumb led the way for OBU with 18 points as she was seven-of-12 from the field in their victory over the 12th -ranked Lady Eagles.
"I love playing at OC," said Plumb. "This team has never won here before. This is such a huge win for us. We just came off of three loses that were really tough on us so this is a great turning point for our team."
"We really needed this game tonight," said Head Coach John McCullough. "We haven't been playing well and we haven't been shooting that well either. In fact we didn't really shoot that well tonight."
OBU was 23-of-58 from the field shooting 39.7 percent, but OBU held OC to just 33 percent on the night.
"We played so tough tonight and we just hung in there to get the win," said McCullough. "We came into a tough place to play and came out with a victory. We still have a long ways to go, but were getting there."
Tabetha Eaton scored 17 for the Lady Bison and grabbed six rebounds as well. The only other Lady Bison in double figures was Priscilla Alves who scored 13 points while dishing out seven assists and pulling in seven rebounds.
In the double overtime thriller there were nine lead changes with the score being tied 12 times.
With 3:39 left in regulation OC found themselves down 44-40, but went on a 6-0 run to take a two-point lead with 23 seconds left to play.
Priscilla Alves tied the game up with 11 seconds with a lay up that sent the game into over time.
In the first overtime the lead change five times. OBU held a three point lead, 54-51, with 59 seconds left to play, but a Rachel Martin three tied the game with 40 seconds left. After OBU took a three point lead for the second time in over time, 57-54, Katie Farris drained a three from about 26 ft out to tie the game at 57 with just four seconds to play and sent the game into its second overtime.
In the second and final overtime Plumb started off with a three-pointer to take the lead at 60-57 and from that point on OBU never trailed again.
Plumb's three sparked a 7-0 run that took the Lady Bison out to a 64-57 lead with 3:04 left to play. OBU hit 11 free throws down in the second overtime to seal the win for OBU.
"We came up big from the line in the second overtime," said McCullough. "In a close game like this we had to hit free throws. We also had to get rebounds and take care of the ball to even have a chance tonight."
With the win OBU moves to 13-3 on the year and 2-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Oklahoma Christian falls to 14-5 and 4-2 in the conference.
Lauren Decker had a game high 24 points for the Lady Eagles while Farris was the only other OC player who scored in double figures with 20 points.
