Bison Subdue Houston Baptist

Oklahoma Baptist's Robert Hart came within an assist and a couple of rebounds of accomplishing a triple-double Saturday in leading the No. 5 Bison to a 97-79 win over No. 15 Houston Baptist.
Hart scored 21 points, dished off nine assists and had eight rebounds, along with three steals to spark the Bison to their seventh consecutive win.
A couple of Houston products - Leonard Mosley and Frank Benson - kept Houston Baptist out of contention as well. Benson had 17 points while Mosley had 16. Tyler Ryan and Bailey Jones joined them in double-figures in the scoring column with 12 and 10 respectively.
HBU scored the first nine points of the game with Chris Miller hitting two field goals to lead the charge. OBU, however, scored the next 12 with Andrew Bryant and Hart putting in four points each to give the Bison a 12-9 lead with 13:51 left in the half.
The Huskies took a17-16 lead at the 11 minute mark but Mosley canned two three-pointers and spark plugged OBU to a 25-9 run which left the Bison with a 44-26 lead with 3:22 left in the half. Four different Bison had four or more points in the spree.
The Bison led 50-36 at intermission.
HBU worked the lead down to nine points in the first three minutes of the second half but Justin Benson led the Bison on a 7-0 run for a 63-47 lead. The margin would peak at 25 points as Tyler Ryan dished out assists to Mike Fraser, Frank Benson and Mosley in a 6-0 run for a 92-67 lead at the 3:06 mark.
OBU, now 7-1, will next play on the road for the first time this season, taking a trip to Point Lookout, Mo., to play William Jewell at 5:30 p.m. Friday and College of the Ozarks at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
