Bison Soccer Headed to Regional
November 3, 2004
Oklahoma Baptist University's Bison soccer team will advance to the NAIA Region VI Tournament, beginning play on Friday, Nov. 12. The four-team tournament will be played at Southern Nazarene University.
Southern Nazarene and OBU will be joined by the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament victor, as well as USAO or Oklahoma City University. SNU, whose LONGO rating was the best in the region, will qualify either as SAC Tournament champion or as the first at-large squad.
If USAO beats SNU in the SAC finals, USAO will be added to the tournament and be OBU's first-round opponent. If SNU defeats USAO, Oklahoma City will join the region field and play OBU on Friday. OBU is the second seed in the Regional and the Red River champion will be the fourth seed.
The RRAC semifinals are Friday and the finals are set for Saturday.
