Bison Set New Record with Win

Oklahoma Baptist University, which averages a 76-point win every time they play Messenger College, established a new school record with a 124-34 win over the Eagles Friday night. It was the largest point spread in an OBU game, eclipsing by a basket OBU's 114-26 victory over Messenger (88 points).
Frank Benson led the way for OBU with a 20-point performance. Benson also grabbed six rebounds. Andrew Bryant scored a double-double with 16 points and brought down 17 rebounds.
Mike Fraser scored 18 points while pulling in six boards and Justin Benson scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds as well.
Leonard Mosley and Robert Hart rounded out the Bison scorers in double figures as both had 13 points on the night.
In the first half OBU opened the game with a 13-0 run and held the Eagles scoreless for the first three minutes of the game.
Tyler Ryan hit back-to-back buckets with 12:18 left in the first half that sparked a 10-0 run by OBU as the Bison took a 35-8 lead.
Bryant scored bookend goals on an 18-2 run that lasted from the 8:09 mark to the 3:17 mark in the first half as the Bison extended their lead to 53-13.
The Bison ended the half with a 6-0 run to hold a half time lead of 64-19.
The Bison continued to pull away in the second half and actually he
ld a 91-point lead with 46 seconds left, but still eclipsed the old margin of victory by one point.
