Women Take Down Southwestern Kansas, 8-1

The OBU women's tennis team had no trouble knocking off Southwestern Kansas in a fall match, 8-1, sweeping the doubles matches and winning five singles matches in straight sets.
Lauren White won in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1, over Kellie Stinson. In the tightest match of the day, Ashley Jerige edged Jessica Hafner 6-4, 6-4 in No. 3 singles. Haley Howard in No. 6 singles beat Kayla Drake, winning in a shutout set after a 6-4 struggle in the first set.
Kim Daniel shrugged off Megan Hudson in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-2. Christa Tjeerdsma cruised past Sarah Hodgkinson, 6-1, 6-2.
Kerri McNutt lost to Leah Rankin in No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0, but the rest of the day belonged to OBU.
White and McNutt won 8-2 in No. 1 doubles, Jerige-Daniel claimed No. 2 doubles, 8-4, and Howard-Tjeerdsma won in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
