OBU Women 12th at NSU Golf Classic

Freshman Maggie Cole led Oklahoma Baptist University's women's golf team to a 12th-place finish with her two-round 157 Sept. 20-21.

Cole finished in a tie for 10th place individually at the tournament hosted by Cobblestone Creek Golf Club in Muskogee. She was among the leaders with a first-round 77, but dropped off the pace slightly with a second-round 80.

Ellen Zaske, also a freshman, shot a pair 86s to finish 54th at 172. Amber McMurry fired an 85 and a 90 for a 60th-place 175. Jennifer Mann and Michelle Hunter both shot 176 and Brittany Brooks fired a 178.

OBU begins play in the OCU Fall Classic at Lincoln Park beginning Sept. 27.
