Oklahoma Baptist University's Bison soccer team riddled Ozark Christian College 11-0 Friday at the Bison Soccer Complex, netting the program's second-best offensive output of the season.
OBU out-shot OCC 54-5 on the day, including a 33-1 first half barrage. Ozark keeper Jesse Frame had 18 saves. OBU's Quinn Will was rarely tested and had three saves in the 90-minute shut-out effort.
Marcos Silva scored in the 12th minute with an assist from Thiago Silva for a 1-0 Bison lead. Thiago Silva was on the receiving end for OBU's next goal, scoring on a feed from John Sellers for a 2-0 lead in the 27th minute. Marcos Silva had OBU back on the scoreboard 29 seconds later, scoring unassisted.
Tony Madegwa had back-to-back goals with feeds from Amaury Nunes in the 32nd minute and Thiago Silva in the 40th minute.
Kyle Megenity made it 6-0 in the 41st minute with an assist from Marcello Drummond, who also fed Brett Jackson for a goal in the 45th minute for a 7-0 advantage.
Tanyi Rawlings assisted Megenity for an 8-0 lead in the 56th minute and Rawlings scored with help from Adauto Oliveira in the 63rd minute.
Charles Shula scored with an assist from Ross Bailey in the 75th minute. It was Shula's first goal of the season and Bailey's first assist. Justin Kunz rounded out the scoring with his first goal, coming in the 85th minute.
OBU (8-1) will play Dallas Baptist at 3 p.m. Saturday in Shawnee, while OCC (7-3) takes on Oklahoma Wesleyan. Dallas Baptist handed OWU a 5-1 loss at the OBU Tournament Friday.
In women's action Friday, 19th-ranked Northwestern (5-1-1) shelled Oklahoma Wesleyan 11-0. OWU (0-7) will play the 2-3 OBU women at 1 p.m. Saturday.
