Fourth Annual Bison Bicycle Tour Draws 100 Riders

Over 100 riders participated in the 2004 Bison Bicycle Tour on Saturday, April 17th, beginning and ending on the Oklahoma Baptist University campus.
This event is organized and operated each year by the Division of Music at Oklahoma Baptist University to raise funds for music student scholarships.
The fourth annual edition of the BBT saw sunny skies, warm temperatures, and challenging winds. Participants rode tours of 10, 25, or 50 miles, and the 50-mile race concluded with a sprint finish on University Drive.
Erin Elliot from Oklahoma City won first place, while Randy Coburn of Shawnee took second and Clendon Brown of Choctaw took third.
In the women's division Barbara Smith of Shawnee came in first, followed by Angela Schneider from Oklahoma City in second place and Rita Hejny from Oklahoma City in third place. Participants from all over Oklahoma and several other states participated in the event.
