Long-time Photographer Jack Putnam Passes Away

Long-time Oklahoma Baptist University photographer Jack Putnam died Tuesday, Sept. 2, in a Shawnee hospital after a brief illness. He was 83. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Gaskill Funeral Home.

Putnam joined the OBU staff in 1960 as senior photographer, instructor of photography and director of the OBU News Bureau. In 1965 he became director of photographic services for the university.

He retired from the university in 1996.
