OBU Women Wrap Up Successful 2003 Campaign

Oklahoma Baptist University's Lady Bison tennis team finished the 2003 season with a solid record and some great accomplishments. Overall the squad compiled a 10-7 record.
This year's Most Valuable Player for the women was freshman Kerri McNutt. Freshman teammate Lauren White was named the Most Improved Player on the women's side. The women's Leadership award went to number one player Brooke Bohannon.
On the national stage OBU tennis players received many additional awards. Six out of the 12 total players were regional NAIA All-America Scholar Athletes. Two OBU tennis players were named National Academic All-Americans.
The primary number one player for the Lady Bison, Bohannon finished the year with a 6-11 record. The No. 2 player, Kerri McNutt, ended the year with a 7-10 mark.
Sarah Haselwood had an 11-3 record on the season while Lauren White turned in a 10-5 record. Becca Sherrif finished the year with a 12-4 mark, and Jill Wells finished with a 10-7 record.
Bohannon teamed up with White to form the primary number one doubles team and finished with a 6-4 record. McNutt paired up with Haselwood for an 8-2 doubles team record. Sherriff and Wells turned in a 6-1 record as the final doubles team.
