"News Radio," a production of Oklahoma Baptist University's broadcast news class will begin airing local news Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 12:20 p.m. on cable channel 30. The newscast will air on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next 11 weeks.
"The idea is to provide students with the actual experiences of selecting, writing, and voicing the news," said Dr. Roger Hadley, OBU professor of telecommunication. "It goes beyond simulation."
OBU students have produced a weekly television newscast, "News30," on cable channel 30 for the past 9 years. It is broadcast each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. during the academic year.
