Youth Minister’s Conference Scheduled

Oklahoma Baptist University will host a conference for area youth ministers Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the university's campus.
The conference is designed to help church personnel learn more about university life.
"We want to show them what a Christian university is like and give them the tools to assist youth and parents in making wise choices when selecting the university they attend," said Lawrence Keith, OBU admissions counselor.
The one-day event will include a campus tour, a discussion on financial aid and scholarship, lunch with students, and a faculty-student panel.
OBU Bison men's basketball coach Doug Tolin will be speak at the lunch.
The faculty panel will include: Dr. John Cragin, Robert and Sara Lou Cargill professor of business; Dr. Bobby Kelly, Rowena Strickland assistant professor of religion; Dr. Linda McElroy, professor of health, physical education and recreation; Dr. Pam Robinson, director of teacher education; and Dr. Glenn Sanders, associate professor of history.
This marks the second year the university has sponsored the conference.
