Play About Discovery Says Keep on Learning

In Oklahoma Baptist University theatre department's production of "On the Verge," three vagrants traveling through time discover there will always be more to learn in life.
The Eric Overmeyer play directed by OBU senior Josh Peterson will run April 26-28 and May 3-6 at 7:30 p.m. in OBU's Sarkeys Theatre. OBU associate professor of theatre Dr. Marion Castleberry supervised the student-led production.
The plot features adventurers Mary, Alexandra and Fanny, played by freshmen Tiffanie Pearce and Christy Hall, and sophomore Cheryl Sartain, trekking across "Terra Incognita" from 19th-century New England to 1955 Las Vegas where they discover the surfboard, the backyard barbecue and the Jacuzzi.
Playing a variety of roles, junior Brandon Roye and sophomore Josh Cain round out the cast.
OBU senior Will Burgin is stage manager and assistant director and junior Kinsey Dickey is assistant stage manager. Junior Michael Clack is the lighting designer; Roye is the sound designer; senior Tana Fleming is the scenic designer; senior Brandy Trout is the scene shop supervisor; and senior Brooke Collins is the costume designer. Freshmen Rose Bacorn and Katy Nay are the properties managers and freshman Andra Dunn is the makeup designer.
Adult tickets are $7 and children's tickets are $1. Call OBU's office of communication arts at 878-2347 for reservations.
