Dr. Bobby Kelly wants Oklahoma Baptist University students to look at Jesus' last statements as an example of how to read the Bible.
In his "Portraits of Passion" Holy Week chapel address Wednesday, April 11, the OBU Rowena Strickland assistant professor of religion, will examine the last words of Jesus in each of the four gospels.
Kelly has served on the OBU faculty since 1997 and is currently interim pastor of First Baptist Church in Midwest City.
He holds degrees from Clear Creek Baptist College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He and his wife, Angie, have one son, Luke Alexander.
OBU's Good Friday service will feature the Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts. Both the Wednesday and Friday services are at 10 a.m. in Raley Chapel and are open to the public.
