Noted Speakers Highlight Spring Chapel Schedule

Oklahoma Baptist University will host a variety of speakers for spring 2000 weekly chapel services.
Dr. Sunday Fadulu, professor of biology at Texas Southern University, is slated to be the first speaker of the new semester.
Fadulu graduated from OBU in 1964 and has made significant discoveries in seeking a cure for sickle cell anemia. He will speak for the African-American Heritage Week service Feb. 2.
Dr. Fred Lowery, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bossier City, La., will preach during the Feb. 16 chapel service.
Dr. Claude Thomas, pastor of First Baptist Church in Euless, Texas, and former pastor of Council Road Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, will preach on March 1.
The Hobbs Lecture will be delivered March 8 by Dr. C.W. Brister, Hultgren distinguished professor of pastoral care at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the father of OBU President Mark Brister.
Dr. Jay Strack, noted evangelist from Orlando, Fla., is scheduled to speak March 22. Strack is founder and president of Jay Strack Evangelistic Association.
Women's Day, April 5, will be led by Dr. Rhonda Kelley, first lady of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Kelley was the managing editor for the new Woman's Study Bible. She also hosts a weekly radio talk show, "Woman to Woman."
OBU's chapel services are at 10 a.m. each Wednesday of the fall and spring semesters. The services are in Raley Chapel's Potter Auditorium.
