Getting started with financial aid is easier than you might think. Follow these steps to complete your federal aid application and discover the support you may qualify for. We’re here to help every step of the way, so you can focus on your education with confidence.
Submit Your FAFSA
Our team is ready to guide you through the FAFSA process and answer any questions along the way. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see what financial assistance you may qualify for. Even if you don't think you'll qualify, submitting the FAFSA and sending your results to OBU (school code: 003164) allows us to create a personalized financial aid offer just for you, you might be surprised!
Watch for Your Notification
Once we've received and reviewed your FAFSA, we'll reach out with next steps. Keep an eye on your email and mailbox for a letter from our Financial Aid Office. This will let you know your application is moving forward and if any additional documents are needed.
Review Your Financial Aid Offer
Log in to your OBU admissions portal to view your personalized financial aid offer, which will outline any grants, scholarships, and loans you may be eligible for. Be sure to check your portal regularly for any outstanding checklist items. Completing these promptly helps ensure your financial aid offer is finalized without delay.
Submit Your Enrollment Deposit and Accept Your Financial Aid Offer
To secure your spot at OBU, submit your enrollment deposit through your admissions portal. Once your OBU email has been created, you can log in to myOBU to accept your financial aid offer. If anything is unclear before you accept, don't hesitate to reach out, we want you to feel confident every step of the way.
FAFSA Opens October 1
The FAFSA opens each year on Oct.1, so be sure to submit your application early to maximize your financial aid opportunities.
